Asherah
Asherah (hébreu : אשרה ˈæʃərə), est une déesse probablement liée au culte de Yahweh et vénérée comme son épouse avant le VIIe siècle av. J.-C.

On a découvert à Kuntillet Ajrud, dans le Sinaï, des Ostraca datant du VIIIè siècle av. J.-C., portant l'inscription : "Berakhti et’hem l’YHWH Shomron [ou Shomrenou] ulèAsherato" ("Je vous ai bénis par YHWH de Samarie et Son Asherah" ou "Je vous ai bénis par YHVH notre gardien et Son Asherah".
Dans son ouvrage "Qui est Dieu ?", Jean Soler suggère que la "reine du ciel" décrite dans l'Ancien Testament est Ashera.
Ancien Testament, Jérémie 44, 15-19 "Nous ne t'obéirons en rien de ce que tu nous as dit au nom de l'Eternel. Mais nous voulons agir comme l'a déclaré notre bouche, offrir de l'encens à la reine du ciel, et lui faire des libations, comme nous l'avons fait, nous et nos pères, nos rois et nos chefs, dans les villes de Juda et dans les rues de Jérusalem. Alors nous avions du pain pour nous rassasier, nous étions heureux, et nous n'éprouvions point de malheur. Deutéronome 16, 21-22 "Tu ne planteras pas d'aschéra, aucun bois, à côté de l'autel que tu élèveras à Yahweh, ton Dieu. Tu ne dresseras point de ces stèles, qui sont en aversion à Yahweh, ton Dieu."
